Here are the details of donations made from April pattern sales.
The Proceeds
In April, digital pattern sales totaled $71.93. After I pay the designers their portion, I am left with $28.77. The transaction fees from those orders totaled $4.34. Which leaves $24.43
The Donations
April sales are enough for one donation. Most charities have a minimum donation amount (or at least a preferred minimum), because of transaction fees.Â
Earlier in April I saw an article from WABE reporting that Meals on Wheels Atlanta has a wait list of 800 people, and because of the rise in costs, it's even harder for them to provide the help that many seniors need.Â
Meals on Wheels Atlanta
Meals on Wheels Atlanta started as a soup kitchen in 1965, and has since grown to an organization that not only supports seniors with meal delivery, but also runs a home repairs program, a pet food supply, and an emergency food pantry. They’re on a mission to end senior hunger in Atlanta.
I made a $25 donation to Meals on Wheels Atlanta from the April pattern sale proceeds. I also covered the transaction fees for a total of $26.60
