Designer Spotlight - Isabell Kraemer

Isabell Kraemer of @lilalu72 on Instagram is a knitwear designer who has created several hundred patterns over the last decade plus. Her catalog has sweaters, cardigans, and various accessories, something for almost everyone. The patterns are comprehensive with charts as well as written instructions, and they're also available in multiple languages.

Isabell's designs favor simple, classic shapes and have gorgeous details like lace, textures, cables, and colorwork. She also hosts an annual Take-Your-Pick KAL of her patterns and gives out prizes to participants. Those are run on her Ravelry group, and that's also where she puts up tester calls for upcoming patterns.

Swan is a batwing-sleeved pullover which is knitted top down. It has a lovely, casual silhouette, and will definitely be a comfortable staple in your wardrobe. Swan is knit with DK weight yarn.

Snedronningen is a top down sweater with a classic shape and a beautifully simple colorwork design. Depending on your color choices, you can have a lot of great variety in how the sweater looks. The pattern is written for two yarns held together, which combine to DK-weight yarn.

Tresse is a top down pullover with a gorgeous cable detail down the front. The design has raglan sleeves and a split hem. The pattern has both a chart and line-by-line written instructions for the cable design. The pattern is written for two yarns held together, which combine to DK-weight yarn.
