Kati Rauva of @designkatir loves to design is sweaters. She finds inspiration for her designs in yarn colors and textures, people in her life, the nature around her, and places she travels to. She prefers to have multiple projects going at the same time. For her, knitting is more of a way of life rather than just a hobby.
Kati's designs have beautiful stranded colorwork motifs, and lovely cable and texture details. There are circular yoke sweaters, but also single colored tops, as well as a few accessories.
In The Garden is a bottom-up circular yoke sweater with garden flowers to bring a touch of brightness into winter. It's a great pattern for using up leftovers from other projects. It uses an Aran-weight yarn like Lettlopi or Lysti.
Colour Therapy is a fun color block sweater with a cable detail down the back. It is knit bottom up, and has shaping around the neck. It is made with a bulky-weight yarn.
Daydreaming is a raglan sweater with a lovely lace detailing on the sleeves and a simple stockinette collar that rolls over. It is knit from the bottom up with Bulky weight yarn.
Laineet is a striped sweater that isn't your standard striped sweater. It adds a bit of movement to the stripes.
Laineet means the waves in Finnish. Not just some waves, that would be Laineita. Specific waves or ALL the waves! This design is a beautiful take on a classic striped sweater. The Icelandic wool keeps you warm, and the waves remind you spring will come to thaw everything out.
Lettlopi is 100% Icelandic wool. As a result of the environment they live in, Icelandic sheep have adapted to have wool that is soft as well as water resistant. You can be sure this sweater will keep you warm and cozy.
