Just a heads up: Many of the pattern links in Designer Spotlight posts are to Ravelry. I recognize the site isn't accessible to all. To find alternate sources for the designer's patterns I encourage you to check out their Instagram linked at the top of the post.

Designer Spotlight - Paper Daisy Creations

Lisa of @paperdaisycreations

Lisa is a knitwear designer from Indiana for whom knitting isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle. You’re not likely to catch her anywhere without a WIP. She creates designs that play with color, texture, and design elements, and writes patterns that are easy-to-follow with photo tutorials and clear instructions.

The designs in Paper Daisy’s catalog include wraps, socks, hats, mittens, and more, for both adults and kids. There are designs with colorwork, cables, ribbing, and textures of all kinds. The hardest part is picking which design to start with!

Among the Wildflowers

Among the Wildflowers is a triangular shawl inspired by fields of wildflowers. Whether you can go to a field of wildflowers or just imagine one, it's something peaceful in a world of chaos. This shawl allows you to wrap yourself in wildflowers all year.

The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn. Grab a skein of Lankava Sulo in Salty Licquorice for a base, and combine it with that set of minis you've been holding on to. Or combine it with Viking Nordlys for a beautiful changing color effect without having to use multiple yarns.

Saturday Evening

Saturday Evening is a triangular shawl that uses simple techniques to create an eye-catching design. The easy, rhythmic knitting of the design is what Saturday nights are meant to be: relaxing and calming. The stripes are balanced by a graphic pattern at one end of the shawl.

The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn. Grab a skein of Lankava Sulo in Salty Licquorice for a base, and combine it with that set of minis you've been holding on to. Or pick up a few of your favorite colors to put together the perfect palette.

Cosmic Connections

Cosmic Connections a colorful wrap with a little bit of lace, cables, slipped stitches, which together create an opulent wrap. The design takes inspiration from stars, galaxies, outer space, and everything else the universe has to offer.

This pattern also calls for fingering weight yarn. Lankava Sulo in Salty Licquorice is a great option for a base, and combine it with that set of minis you've been holding on to. Or pick up a few of your favorite colors to put together the perfect palette.

Vistosa

Vistosa is a lacy wrap that was inspired by the stained glass of The BasĂlica de la Sagrada FamĂlia in Barcelona, and the impact of light shining through them into the church. The design uses slipped stitches and mosaic knitting to create the visual interplay of colorful rays on gothic archways.

Grab a skein of Sulo in Salty Licquorice (or another main color of your choice), and use mini skeins or leftovers from previous projects for the colors. Lankava Sulo is a superwash treated wool blend yarn that is great for all kinds of projects, including this one. It is available in 23 solid colors, as well as four multicolored options.
