Let's Knit Together!

I have added the first digital pattern to my shop. Unelmakartta is a mid-calf height colorwork sock pattern by Heini Perälä that plays with color dominance. And since I can't possibly knit these in all the colors I want to, the second best option I could come up with is to host Knit-along!

Heini and I have come up with some fabulous color combinations that are sure to look great with this pattern, and put together kits for you. Then I can live vicariously through your knitting projects. You get gorgeous socks, and I get to see the different color combinations, it's a win-win!

We will kick off the KAL on Buy Nothing Day (AKA Black Friday), and have an official wrap up on January 31st. No one is going to come after you if you don't finish by then, though.

I will host a virtual Cast On Party on November 29th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Eastern time. If you order the pattern or a bundle, I will send you an email with details. If you already have the pattern and yarns from another source and would like to join the KAL, you can join the KAL email list to get all the updates. 

I'm thinking up other ways to make this extra fun (feel free to drop ideas in the comments), but for starters here are the main details:

Unelmakartta-KAL

• Designer: Heini Perälä - Heinikki design, Finland
• Foot size: EU 39 / US Women's 8
• Sock measurements: Leg length (including the cuff and the heel) 31 cm, foot length 25 cm.
• Needles: 3 mm / US 2.5
• Gauge: 26 sts and 28 rws in colorwork = 10 x 10 cm
• Yarn: 260 m / 100 g, Lankava Mainio
• Color 1: 70-75 g, sample uses 668 Coffee
• Color 2: 65-70 g, sample uses 671 Cotton Candy

The Unelmakartta Bundle will include two skeins of Lankava Mainio in curated color combinations, and a PDF download of the pattern.
