Yarn Over Everything Spring 2024 Knit Along

The Yarn Over Everything Spring 2024 Knit Along is a joint effort with Finnished Knits. It begins on March 19th, the first day of spring, and we’re making the Leith Cardigan by Rebecca Clow!

This cardigan is knit from the bottom up and uses intarsia to create color blocking and stripes. The Spring 2024 Knit Along pattern was chosen because it is size-inclusive, uses a technique we haven't done yet in a knit-along, and offers so much room for creativity and customization! Check out all the different stripe and color variations here. 

Noora from Finnished Knits suggests using Lankava Lysti for your project - this yarn is 75% wool and 25% nylon, 218 yards, and comes in 20 different solid colorways and four additional multi-colored options! Not to mention it's very affordable.

Please note: Finnished Knits will be placing an inventory replenishment order on March 7th. If a color is low or out of stock, you can still place your order before then, and any backordered items should arrive and be mailed to you in time for the start of the KAL.

If you’re not interested in making a whole cardigan, consider making the Halfsies Socks (with Lankava Mainio) or Halfsies Socks Light (with Lankava Sulo) by Hannah Sandler to practice your intarsia!

If you haven't joined a YOE knit-along before, this is how they work

• You purchase a copy of the pattern directly from the designer on Ravelry (£7 / $9), so they are paid for their art.
• We all cast on March 19th (if you need to start later that is absolutely ok)!
• We will use the spring-24-knit-along discord channel for all things related to the Leith Cardigan - yarn choice, progress photos, questions, etc.
• We knit at our own pace, so you can knit the whole thing in a week or take 3 months! The point of the knit-along is to provide support and participate in the community!

There will be additional education provided on the Yarn Over Everything Patreon in the form of tutorials/written instructions specific to the pattern, plus a private discord channel for more direct access to Kylen for questions you may have!
