October Donations

October Donations

Here are the details of the donation made from October pattern sales.

The Proceeds

In October, digital pattern sales totaled $67.98 After I pay the designers their portion, I am left with $27.79. The transaction fees from those orders totaled $2.94. Which leaves $24.85.

The weather is cooling down in the northern hemisphere, and knitter's are picking their needles back up!

The Donation

Since October was Breast Cancer Awareness month, I made this donation to American Cancer Society. I have a family history of breast cancer, and as such I have an elevated risk myself. I've always thought of it as a "not if but when" thing for me.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women in the United States. For non-Hispanic Black women and Hispanic women, breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death.

American Cancer Society

Mission Statement: The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

I made a donation of $25.00 plus $1.38 to cover the transaction fees.

The more digital pattern sales I have, the more and bigger donations I get to make.
