Laavuvanttuut is a knitting pattern for felted mittens perfect for sitting by the campfire. A laavu is a lean-to shelter, and vanttuut is a word used for mittens. They're knit cuff to fingers with an afterthought thumb.

SIZES
One size which can be adjusted by changing your needle size and during felting.
Knit from cuff to fingertips and lastly felted in the washing machine.
YARN REQUIREMENTS
Alafosslopi yarn 100 g/ball (or Istex Lettlopi held double 50 g/ball)
Main Color 0051 White, 100g
Color A 1230 Highland Green, 50g
Color B 9965 Charteruse Green Heather, 50g
Color C 9967 Teal Heather, small amount
Color D 9427 Rust Heather (Lettlopi held double), about a yard, is sufficient
If using Lettlopi for the whole pattern, you will need double the amount of yarn for colors A-C and the main color.
MATERIALS
- 5 mm / US 8 double-pointed needles
- Darning needle
- Scissors
