Laavuvanttuut is a knitting pattern for felted mittens perfect for sitting by the campfire. A laavu is a lean-to shelter, and vanttuut is a word used for mittens. They're knit cuff to fingers with an afterthought thumb. Â

INSTRUCTIONS
Knit from cuff to fingertips and lastly felted in the washing machine. Â
YARN REQUIREMENTSÂ
Alafosslopi yarn 100 g/ball (or Istex Lettlopi held double 50 g/ball)
Main Color 0051 White, 100gÂ
Color A 1230 Highland Green, 50gÂ
Color B 9965 Charteruse Green Heather, 50gÂ
Color C 9967 Teal Heather, small amountÂ
Color D 9427 Rust Heather (Lettlopi held double), about a yard, is sufficient
If using Lettlopi for the whole pattern, you will need double the amount of yarn for colors A-C and the main color.Â
