Karolina Adamczyk of @kroopa.knits
Karolina has been knitting for as long as she can remember, and published her first pattern in 2019. She has discovered that she cannot live without knitting. It's a way of relaxing, unwinding, and escaping the worries of the world.
Karolina loves teaching others, and wants to make stranded colorwork easy for beginners, and has several free patterns just for that purpose. All of her patterns use color to create stunning results.
Tweedle Socks
Tweedle Socks are a playfully mismatched pair of socks with classic patterns. From further away you might not be able to tell these fraternal twins apart, but upon a closer look you'll see that one has a step pattern and the other a houndstooth motif.
This pattern is written for fingering yarn, and Lankava Sulo is a great choice for this project. The superwash wool and polyamide blend ensures that your socks will be easy to care for and durable. Grab some Snow and Salty Licquorice to whip these up!
Easy Peasy Socks
Easy Peasy Socks are one of Karolina's free patterns designed for colorwork beginners. These top down socks have no more than two colors per row, and no more than 3 stitches between color changes. There are four different sizes to choose from, so you can make a pair for everyone in the family.
This sock pattern is also written for fingering yarn, and Lankava Sulo is definitely a great choice. Pick two solid colors for a combination of your choice. You can also pick one solid color of Sulo, and pair it with a skein of Viking Nordlys for a fun color-changing effect.
Echeveria Sweater
Echeveria Sweater is an elegantly beautiful stranded colorwork sweater. It is knit top-down. and the circular yoke has a design that looks like the layered petals of an echeveria succulent, delicate lace, or even the rippling scales of a fish. The length of the sleeves and hem are easy to adjust to personal preference.

Polypody Mittens
Polypody Mittens are a pair of cozy stranded colorwork mittens. The motif is inspired by fern leaves, and is featured on both sides of the mitten. You can make a pair of matching mittens, or switch the colors on the second mitten for an inverted look!
This pattern is written for DK-weight yarn, and Lankava Mainio has 23 fabulous colros to choose from for this project. If you like the blue tones of the sample, choose Sea, Rain, or Summer Sky to pair with Snow. I think Pesto and Pistachio would be especially fun considering the fern motif.
Yarn for Echevaria Sweater
The Echevaria sweater is a great project for Lankava Lysti. This durable workhorse of a yarn will ensure that you will be able to love your sweater for years to come. There are 26 solid colors to choose from, and the price is so affordable you can make sweaters for everyone. Just pick your favorites and get started!
